Supported Housing Elected Provider Panel (SHEPP)

Welcome to the SHEPP section of the Suffolk Supporting People website. Here you can find lots of useful information relating to the Provider Panel.

"The purpose of the provider panel is to do partly what it says on the tin. The panel is most importantly elected from the providers of supported housing in Suffolk and is therefore in place to allow you all to have a voice. It is therefore essential the panel makes communication with it as easy as possible and that providers in the county feel able to approach individual members.

As a group we must be well informed in order to influence the Commissioning Body and to some degree the Core Strategy Development Group. Conversely these bodies will use the panel as a consultation body. Simply this creates a need for us to talk and if we the panel is not doing this then we need to understand why.  Telephone me any time on 01473 228600"

Stephen Javes, Chair of SHEPP

The minutes of the last SHEPP meeting can be found by clicking here.  The main points to arise from the meeting can be found below for quick reference:

Contracts Update:   The group was updated on the progress in issuing full contracts to providers.  The SP Team are working to get the contracts out ASAP.

Contract Management: The group received an update on the work of the contract management group.  The group are preparing a questionnaire, which will be sent to all providers asking for thier opinions on the Contract Management process.

Outcome Monitoring : OutcomeMonitoring will be introduced from June 2007.  The SP Team wil be offereing training sessions on this

NABS Update: The NABs tender is currently suspended, and bidders have all had a letter from the County Council's procurement department to advise them of this.  The tender documents will be re-issued, and the process put back so bidders timescales are not reduced.

Date of next meeting: Tuesday 18th September 2007 9.30-12.30 If you have anything you would like to raise at this meeting please contact your local SHEPP rep.
